Hi everyone, I am Diane the online angel of love and romance.
I have been building my site for years and enjoy making a
positive difference in peoples lives. |

1 Rose Bud -
Isn't it time you
met your one and only soul mate? Online dating site reviews
plus some of my "insiders" dating information. |
One Rose Bud is an
online dating review site designed mainly for those new to
online dating. It has areas for people in the United states,
international daters and a special area for those that have a
particular race, religion or sexual preference when searching
for a lover, future spouse or their lifelong soul
mate. |
| |
My site also
has important information for the newbie online dater,
almost all of it are things that I learned while I was on the
singles circuit in search of love. Those areas include:
How to get started with online dating, how to set up your
online profile for the best results, how to protect
yourself from dishonest people and maintain your privacy,
how to locate untold background information about your
date and then I cover some of the other very important
to know dating skills such as online dating etiquette. |
How did you get
involved in your particular "niche" for your chosen online
business. |
I was single at
the time and was just getting involved in online dating
but I was new to it and spent some time just seeing if
these places and the people in them were real. At first I
didn't trust any of the profiles and was cautious. I
stayed with it knowing that finding a partner at work or
anywhere else was not working since I was particular about
the kind of guy I wanted in my life. I made notes about
the sites I joined so I could stay with my favorite and
eventually I did meet the man I've waited for
all my life. Later I took my list and decided I was going
to share my search for love with other women (and guys) so
I sat down one day, made a plan of what I wanted to
include in my site. |
What is your
favorite part or what do you like best about running your
own online business? |
My favorite
part of being a webmaster is helping people out there find
love and romance while avoiding some of the problems that
I went through. I also like locating new dating sites and
evaluating them then adding them to my site. |
What is your
biggest challenge as a webmaster & site owner and how do
you overcome it? |
My biggest
challenge was getting my boyfriend, fiancé and husband to
agree with what I was doing. No, it was the same guy but I
worked on the site throughout our relationship. His
thought was simple, I had him, why do I need to build a
dating review site? It took a long time before he saw it
as something I felt I had to do for the other women of the
world, and now he's comfortable with the site and he's
alright when I need to update it or do some work on it. My
challenge has never been with the technical part of the
site or even the
traffic part since I always knew that if it was meant to
be found by others then it would be found because it was
meant to be. |
If you had to
do it all over again, what is the one thing you would
change if you could? |
I think I would
have spent less time on it in the beginning, sounds
backwards to people reading this but I got too involved,
almost obsessed on some nights to get the site completed
and on the www so I could help other women out there.
Thinking back I could have done less, stressed less, and
had more free time but I don't regret it since I'm sure
there have been people that have learned some good to know
dating hints and tips. |
What would you
tell a person reading this about starting their own online business? |
Don't get so
wrapped into your site that you forget about those you
love. This applies to Facebook, twitter, MySpace and
anything else out there on the www, all those sites and
people will be there tomorrow, but your loved ones are
here today and are forever! Your site can be an outlet for
you, express yourself, help others and yes make money from
your site but balance your website with what's real in
life too. |

We
hope you gained some insight into what it's like to run
your own online business. We appreciate the time Diane took
for our Success Story interview and have asked her to
provide some great links for you - be sure to check them
out today! David &
